Temperatures and times needed to dry various filaments

  • PLA - 45C (113F) at least 4 hours
  • ABS - 60C (140F) at least 2 hours
  • PETG - 65C (149F) at least 2 hours
  • Nylon - 70C (158F) at least 12 hours
  • Dessicant (Silica Gel) - 65C (149F) at least 3 hours

Note that though calcium chloride can be dried out it requires a more complex method that just sticking it in an dehydrator oven and because of that it is not recomended to do at home.
